Description |
Item is made of wood and is painted white with red trim. For legs, there are four boards, two in the middle, one on either end. The arm rests are curved with a round roll at each end. There is one board for a seat and one for the back rest. This item has been painted dark brown. No Documentation. ET 25/06/2015 Donor received from Evelyn Surphlis (Bahamas) origionally from Whitevale Church. During inventory in 2015, it must be noted that this pew has been painted brown. Donor received from Evelyn Surphlis (Bahamas) origionally from Whitevale Church. Whitevale. The first Methodist church in the vicinity of Whitevale was erected in the year 1854 on the rear of Lot 28, Con. 4, where the cemetery now is. In 1884, Rev. S. C. Philp and W. A. V. Pattison were in charge and in this year the present Whitevale Church was erected. Past Years in Pickering. |
