Object Name Pipe, Smoking
Description Pipe bowl- Unfinished. Not yet hollowed out or smoothed over, no designs. Very rough. A pipe at this stage was most likely a child's attempt or practice. Peace pipes used in ceremonies, used to smoke "medicine" (tobacco). Very personal artifact, when owner died their pipe would be broken and buried with them.
